The Volunteers at the Forest City Velodrome in London Ontario are gearing up to showcase the Future Stars of Canadian cycling.

The 2012-13 track season is well underway at the 138m oval. Many of the victories during the premier divisions of racing in 2012 have come from the cadet and junior aged racers. This weekend many of Canada's top cadets and juniors will be showing off their speed and skill during the Eastern Canadian Talent I.D. Camp run by the FCV. These racers will be competing in the 7th annual CanAmQue Challenge on Saturday night at 7 pm.

Beginning on Friday night, the Future Stars will get their bodies warmed up with the opening night of the Camp (open to the public 6 pm - 8 pm). Close to 30 riders have registered for the camp. The Burnaby Velodrome held a similar Talent I.D. Camp two weeks ago. The Camp continues Saturday afternoon at Noon and Sunday morning at 8:30 am.

Many of the participants will contest the biggest race of the year at the FCV on Saturday night. The CanAmQue Challenge is a series of endurance races that will advance the top finishers in Qualifying heats, Semi-Finals, Last Chance race and the top 14 racers will compete for the 138 lap Challenge. Two-time winner Ryan Aitcheson (Panther Racing) will be on hand to see if he can three-peat. Racers will be attending from Detroit, New York, Quebec and across Ontario.

Adult admission is $10.00, Seniors $5.00, Kids are always FREE.
