December 5/12 16:43 pm - Specialized Canada Expands Rider Support Posted by Editoress on 12/5/12
Specialized Canada has extended its support for Canadian riders in 2013, adding two of Canada's young mountain bike stars to the group of riders it works with. Frederique Trudel and Antoine Caron will both ride in Specialized colours next season. Hannah Parish, Marketing Manager at Specialized Canada, explained that while not a team, Specialized Canada seeks out Canadian riders to support, providing equipment and technical support. Riders such as Antoine and Frederique (plus Evan McNeely and Neal Kindree) receive mechanical support at Canada Cup races.

Frederique Trudel
Frederique said: "I am really proud to ride for Specialized Canada next year. I really like all their products so it's a big honor to ride for them. My plans for next year are to do well at the National Championship and the Canada Games. Also, I want to go to the world championship in South Africa with the national team. Thanks to Specialized Canada to believe in me! "

Antoine Caron
We spoke with Antoine Caron about joining Specialized for 2013, when he will race in the Under 23 category. "Hannah contacted me to offer the support, and obviously it will really help next year. This is the next logical step for me. I'm super happy, really excited about it." Caron says that his program should be pretty similar to the past season, starting with the Pan Am Championships, then Canada Cups and World Cups with the national team.
