The fifth edition of the Granfondo Garneau-Cascades presented by Quebecor is already behind us. Nearly 3,000 cyclists rode from Trois-Rivières to Saint-Augustin-de-Desmaures for the benefit of the “Petits Frères” (Little Brothers) organization.

The amazing weather and the participants' enthusiasm greatly contributed to the event's success.  The event, with Mr. Pierre Dion, President and CEO of Group TVA, as Honorary President, was also privileged to have several distinguished guests, including David Veilleux, Team Europcar professional cyclist and first Quebec native to finish the Tour de France.  Also there was Mr. Pierre Karl Péladeau, Chairman of the Board of Quebecor Media, as well as popular actor Sébastien Delorme.

The winner of the event was Costa Rican Paolo Montoya, who completed the 110 kilometres in 2 hours and 27 minutes. He was followed by last year's winner, Jérôme Fradette.

Mark your calendar for August 10th, 2014, because Louis Garneau promises fun and surprises for the event's 6th edition!
