Cycling Canada is pleased to report that the upcoming 2013 Cyclo-Cross Canadian Championships will be held for the second consecutive year in South Surrey, BC, on November 30th.

The event, jointly organized by Cycling BC, is expected to attract to South Surrey the best cyclo-cross racers in Canada. Cyco-cross is a growing cycling discipline, and more and more mountain biker and road cyclists are extending their season by participating in the discipline.

The event last year, which proved to be highly successful, received praises from the riders, with a challenging and fun course around the South Surrey Athletic Park, near White Rock.

"Cycling BC is really motivated to organize a successful Canadian Championships. We expect this event to be an example of collaboration between the cycling community, Cycling BC and Cycling Canada. BC is the hotbed for Cyclo-Cross in Canada with a large grassroots or cyclo-cross riders," said Nicholas Vipond, Competition Coordinator at Cycling Canada.

"Cycling BC is honoured to partner with Cycling Canada and the local community to host the Canadian Cyclocross Championships in British Columbia. This is the second year that the Championships will be in British Columbia, and we appreciate everyone's efforts to make this event a successful event," added Richard Wooles, Executive Director of Cycling BC.

Registration details and event information will be announced at a later date.
