December 17/13 10:15 am - SRAM Updates Hydraulic Road Brake Recall with Website

SRAM announced last week a complete recall of its new road hydraulic caliper brakes [see Daily News December 13th - SRAM Road Hydraulic Brake Recall]. They have now followed that up with a specific website for the recall - sramroadhydraulicbrakerecall.com/.

The recall is over concerns of seals failing and the brakes suddenly stopping working. Initially, it was announced that the issue seemed to be related to cold weather failures, however, the new website reveals that the failure could also happen under normal operating temperatures.
