It is with great pleasure M1 Pro Cycling announces that Mr. Pierre Hutsebaut will be joining the Advisory Team for the H&R Block Pro Cycling Team.

Mr. Hutsebaut has been actively involved in the sport his entire life. He was the Road Technical Manager for the 1976 Olympic Games, then went on to being the Quebec Provincial Coach before moving on as the National Team Coach in 1982. From there he became the Director of the National Racing Program and then the Executive Director of Cycling Canada.  He was the Technical Director for the 2003 Road World Championships in Hamilton, Ontario.

Over the years he has continued to work on his coaching credentials, and is recognized as a Chartered Professional Coach by the association of Coaches of Canada, along with holding a Masters Degree in Science. In 2005 Pierre was appointed as the International Cycling Union (UCI) America Tour Advisor, where his mandate is to help more events and more teams to come into the UCI umbrella. Pierre also works with the Peak Centre for Human Performance providing his expertise to top Canadian athletes that have become and are current world-class riders.

The project continues to build it's support network: "It's exciting to have Mr. Hutsebaut join the M1 Pro Cycling project because of his long standing relationship in the sport in Canada as a coach and executive in various positions both at a provincial and national level, as well as a current member of the UCI. Having someone with such a diverse background and still directly working in the industry is a real asset to have on our advisory team", said Mark Ernsting, CEO of M1 Pro Cycling.

Mr. Hutsebaut explains: "This is a very important step in the athlete development path for the most talented road cyclists in Canada. The M1 Pro Cycling project fulfills the gap between the Junior National Team and the highest levels of road racing. Since Team SpiderTech, there was no hope to access a professional career at a high level in cycling because the lack of structure to compete in international events. I am excited to be able to contribute to the development of this project in an advisory manner."

The project will continue to build its foundation over the coming year that will deliver the H&R Block Professional Cycling Team in 2015 and beyond. It is vital that we continue to engage and unite all stakeholders in Canada as we want to make sure that everyone who want's to "Join the Team" knows that they are welcome and encouraged to be a part of a project that will shape the sport in Canada.
