February 19/15 9:28 am - EnergyLab Sponsors Canadian Teams

Posted by Editoress on 02/19/15

Alberta-based EnergyLab Sports has announced several three-year Cycling Team Sponsorship agreements across Canada.

BC based Russ Hayes Racing and Dr. Walker Sports Chiropractor Cycling Team, Ontario's NCCH p/b DEC Express and Quebec's SAS Mazda-Macogep Specialized have all partnered with EnergyLab for the next 3 years.

These sponsorships support EnergyLabs commitment to grow Canada's up and coming road cyclists across the country. The team program will also help bring awareness to the Canadian Young Athlete Development Fund.

The genesis of the Team Sponsorship originated in 2013 at the Tour de Bowness were EnergyLab met great racers and ambassadors of the sport. This included the likes of Derek St-John, Dustin Andrews, Kirsti Lay, Bailey McKnight and Natasha Elliot. From this EnergyLab started building a program to better support competitive and sport cycling in Canada.

Derek St-John and Aurélien Passeron of Silber Pro Cycling were great advocates for the wheels; performance racing EnergyLab throughout the year and then racing them at the Tour of Alberta.  EnergyLab was unsuccessful in securing a partnership with the Canadian pro cycling team but is optimistic in the coming years.

About EnergyLab Sports
