MTB Nationals

The elite women have just started - 4 laps of a 6.5 kilometre loop for 40 riders. Mike Badyk, up on the top of the course reports that the singletrack downhill section is incredibly slick and greasy. The weather is perfect - clear sky, sun and about 22 degrees Celcius. At the top of the climb it is Redden and Lesley Tomlinson together, 25 seconds in front of a chase group.

Chrissy Redden got her stolen shoes back yesterday - turned in at the main lodge, just as we requested. Thank you, to whomever...

Kris Sneddon won the Junior men's title, after favourite Jaimie Douglas "blew up beyond blowing up". on the third lap of 4. Douglas hung on for second. Julie Sanders took the Juniorf women's title, and Guido Visser the Masters Expert men.
