Hardwood Ski and Bike is pleased to announce the official grand opening of the new Pan Am Games Trail this Sunday, July 26th. Sunday marks the day that the trail will be fully marked with signage, and open to the public. This event celebrates the legacy of hosting the mountain bike events for the Toronto 2015 Pan American Games at Hardwood Ski and Bike in Oro-Medonte.

"The Pan Am Trail is a legacy, not only as a world class racing trail but also as a place for all of our aspiring local mountain bike racers to train on features that will prepare them to be able to ride with confidence on any trail in the world," says Jack Sasseville, President & General Manager, Hardwood Ski and Bike.

On Sunday, July 26th, trails will be open for riding from 9am to 5pm. The Pan Am Trail will be opened following the ribbon cutting ceremony with Mayor Hughes of Oro-Medonte at 10am.

All bike shops, tourism partners, and community members are invited to join in and help celebrate this great milestone event. Please keep in mind that the new Pan Am Trail is for advanced riders; although there are trails for all ages and all levels of ability.

For those interested in riding, all that is required is a trail pass (or season pass) and a helmet. Mountain bikes and helmets are available to rent. Pan Am merchandise, such as t-shirts, hats and lanyards will be given away as draw prizes following the ribbon cutting ceremony.
