Labour Day Weekend Racing Extravaganza!!

A Benefit for the Lance Armstrong Foundation
Saturday September 2, 2000: Killington, VT

Join the excitement of the Killington Stage Race this Labor Day Weekend and help in the fight against cancer by riding your bicycle with Ride for a Reason.

Ride for a Reason is a group bicycle ride to benefit the Lance Armstrong Foundation for Cancer Research. The foundation was started by Lance Armstrong, cancer survivor and two time winner of the Tour de France. It aims to provide support services to cancer survivors and to provide grants for cancer research and education.

Ride for a Reason is open to cyclists of all ages and abilities. The course is 33 miles long and winds through the heart of the Green Mountains and passes through quaint towns including, Killington, Bridgewater Corners, Plymouth and West Bridgewater,VT.

Registration on Saturday September 2, begins at 8:00 am at the Killington Grand Hotel on East Mountain Road, Killington. The requested donation is $15.00 per cyclist and checks can be made payable to The Lance Armstrong Foundation.

After the ride there will be a raffle for participants featuring team gear from professional cycling teams competing in the Stage Race including Saturn, Timex and Shaklee.

Second World Solo 24 Hours of Adrenalin* Championships & First NORBA National Team and Solo Championships Together In Idyllwild, CA Sept. 30/Oct. 1

Trilife Sports International of Markham, Ontario the leading promoter of 24-hour events and the 24 Hours of Adrenalin* mountain bike team relay series will hold the World Solo 24 Hours of Adrenalin* Championships and the 24 Hours of Adrenalin* NORBA National Team and Solo Championships in Idyllwild, CA September 30/October 1, 2000.

Beginning in 1999, the World Solo 24 Hours of Adrenalin* Championships, now in its second year will bring together top endurance athletes to compete for the $15,000 Cash Purse and the "King & Queen of Endurance Racing" Title.

As for the NORBA National Team and Solo Championships, teams will compete in; 4 Person Open Male, 4 Person Open Female, 4 Person Masters and 6 Person Junior team categories for the coveted "Rainbow Jersey" at the first Championship of its kind.
