Would you like to grow youth participation at your club? Cycling BC wants to help! If your cycling club would like to increase youth participation in 2017, Cycling BC may have a way to help.

The Cycling BC iRide program offers a fun, activity rich, in-school cycling experience to students and has successfully coached over 25,000 students since 2014. As a result, we have a multitude of youth with basic cycling skills ready for more riding. Pairing these children with our new community-focused iRide Cycling Groups can help continue the momentum and initiate additional cycling interest among youth in your club's catchment area.

Cycling BC coaching grants are available to community members who would like to start an iRide Cycling Group. Club members with children or an interest in developing their coaching skills are an excellent resource to help grow youth membership.

Also new in 2017, the annual iRide Games will begin running each June as an incentive to our clubs and groups. Fun and exciting events and cycling challenges will rally our young riders, encourage their performance and celebrate their accomplishments.

To get started, please contact Cycling BC's Ben Chaddock and let us know that your club has the desire and capacity to grow in 2017. We're happy to work with you to get coaches certified and help direct new riders out to your club.

Please send inquiries to Ben Chaddock, Program Coordinator at Cycling BC's iRide Program.
