Primoz Roglic wins the final stage and Valverde takes overall
The Final stage, an ITT of 27.7 kilometres decided the overall winner of the Tour of the Basque Country.
Alejandro Valverde the last rider to start set the best time at all time check from previous starters. Contador who had been 9 seconds faster at the intermediate timing point only managed to finish 4th when Valverde arrived. Valverde took 2nd position in the stage the overall win.
Michael Woods (Cannondale-Drapac) who had started the day in 4th posiion on GC, is not know for ITT ability, finished 41st at 2:25 back and dropped to 12th in the final GC.
