Trek Bicycle has extended their partnership with the Trek-Drops women's cycling team to become co-title sponsor for the 2018 season. Together with Drops Cycling Ltd., Trek-Drops shows a further commitment to women in the sport of cycling and world-class racing.

"Our continued partnership with Trek is extremely exciting," said Trek-Drops Team Manager Tom Varney. "We've always had a good relationship with the brand, and this next step will allow the team to continue to increase in stature and performance in the field of professional women's road racing."

The team of ten full time riders will compete in an extensive schedule of UCI races worldwide, the first of which will be the Santos Women's Tour in Australia this January. The season begins this week with the first team training camp in Cambrils, Spain.

"We are overjoyed by the opportunity to support the Trek-Drops team in this next chapter," said Emily Bremer, Trek's Global Women's Marketing Manager. "The women on this team are incredibly gifted and devoted athletes. They will be a team to watch out for this year."

Trek-Drops will continue to race on the renowned Miami Green Trek Émonda road bikes and Speed Concept time trial bikes. The team will ride Bontrager wheels and components, and wear Bontrager XXX Road Shoes.

"The Trek-Drops organization represents the highest aspiration of a professional cycling team," said Tim Vanderjeugd, Director of Sports Marketing at Trek. "They strive to be best in every facet. Whether it be in racing or representing the sport, the Trek-Drops team will rise to every challenge this next year presents."

The team will welcome Tayler Wiles (USA) to the roster, whose presence will bolster the team's GC ambitions of 2018. Tayler joins Trek-Drops after a successful 2017 that included the overall win at the Tour of the Gila, as well as wins in the climbing competitions at Thuringen Rundfahrt and Tour de Feminin. Molly Weaver (GBR) and Eva Buurman (NED) are also new to the team this year.

Trek-Drops also welcomes back the majority of its 2017 roster, continuing to develop young riders by racing at the highest level.

Trek has been involved with the Drops Cycling Team since its creation in 2015, and its increased support is another step forward for women in cycling.
