ABA Seeks New DirectorThe Alberta Bicycle Association wishes to announce that our fine Executive Director, Shannon Fikkert, is moving on to a new career challenge. Shannon has accepted a position with the Alberta Schools Athletic Association. The ABA wishes Shannon the best of luck in her future endeavours.

The ABA is currently accepting resumes for the position.

Executive Director – Alberta Bicycle Association

The Alberta Bicycle Association is a not-for-profit volunteer association promoting all aspects of cycling in Alberta. The Association is involved in the promotion, organization, and facilitation of bicycle racing, recreation, and transportation in Alberta.
To continue these exciting activities, the Alberta Bicycle Association is currently seeking to fill the position of:

Executive Director: Reporting to the Board of Directors, the Executive Director is responsible for the ongoing administration of the organization, including volunteer and government liaison, program and financial management, personnel management, and maintenance of the membership database.

The successful candidate will have:
* Post-secondary education, preferably in Sport Administration
* Excellent administration and communication skills
* Experience working in a volunteer-driven organization
* Experience working with Microsoft Office, Access, and Quickbooks

This full-time position is based in Edmonton, Alberta. Occasional evening and weekend work is required. If you are interested in this position, please submit your resume with cover letter, including salary expectations, by February 20, 2001 to:
