December 20/18 18:55 pm - CC Awards Voting is Still Close

After two days of voting, some trends are beginning to show in the voting for the 2018 Canadian Cyclist of the Year awards.

In the Female Cyclist category, mountain biker Emily Batty has taken the lead, however, both Leah Kirchmann and Karol-Ann Canuel are close enough behind her that a hundred votes could shift the standings.

The Male Cyclist category has been dominated fairly consistently by Michael Woods, with Derek Gee and James Piccoli tied for second place.

The Para category has seen Tristen Chernove start to develop a lead over Shelley Gautier, however, again, a hundred votes could rearrange the standings.

The Individual Performance category has been led by Woods for both his bronze medal at the Worlds and Vuelta stage win, but Chernove's world title ride is closing in on the lead. Emily Batty and Simone Boilard are also still both in contention for their bronze medal rides at the world championships.

Voting ends on December 27th, so be sure to Vote Now!
