New Name and Title Sponsor for Jet Fuel

Dave Butler has just announced that the former Jet Fuel men's road racing team has signed an agreement with the Sympatico web portal for 2001. The new team will be called the Sympatico.ca Cycling Team. The budget (cash and product) will be approximately $100,000. Jet Fuel will remain as a secondary sponsor, and Argon 18 will replace Cervelo as the bike sponsor.

"Our program has been around for 6 years, and this is the payoff. This sponsorship will allow us to develop a higher profile. Hopefully, we can develop it into a long term relationship.", said Butler from the Montreal storefront Cycles Gervais Rioux (Argon 18 headquarters), where the team held their official launch this afternoon.

The team will consist of the riders already signed for 2001 (see list below). The focus will be on Canadian races (primarily Ontario and Quebec), with selected U.S. forays (for example, First Union and BMC Boston). Butler expects that the team will make their first full appearance in early May.
