No matter what level you are (just finding the courage to try racing or already a pro), there is an amazing community to help you bridge the gap between getting to the start line and crossing the finish. Come to this event to learn about women's road bike racing.
Hosted by WOWRide Cycling Club and 8 West Clinic, this event is intended to help women meet others and learn more about this fun and exhilarating sport. It doesn't matter what club or team you belong to ... let's get together. Bike racing might seem intimidating, but in reality we just want more women out there doing it. On the same team or not, more women means better racing.
Join us at 8 West Clinic at 6:30 PM on Wednesday, January 29th, at 301-1788 West Broadway, Vancouver. Meet other women riders and enjoy presentations from cycling clubs/teams, event organizers, and Cycling BC.
Cycling BC Presentation
Learn about signing up, categories, the points system and how to upgrade.
The organizers of the infamous "spring series" and "Tuesday night Criteriums" will give you the lay of land, so you know how to compete in these super fun local races.
Meet the Clubs & Teams
We've got representation from most of the clubs in the area. Meet their teams/coaches and learn about the events they have during the year to help you get ready for racing.
Food & Drinks
I think we mentioned this already. Light yummy refreshments to enjoy.
Meet Pro Racers
We've got a few Cat1/2 female racers who started off just like you. Come and learn from them!
