Whittingham Ups Own Record - Again

Quadra Island native and Victoria B.C. resident, Sam Whittingham, officially became the first man in history to exceed 80 miles per hour by completing the 200M in 5.55 seconds for a new world record of 80.55 MPH!
Conditions in Nevada on the fianl day of trials were perfect - 80 degrees and totally calm winds with 9% humidity.

Sam was piloting the Varna Diablo created by George Georgiev of Gabriela Island.
