The second stage of the Tour of Solano was a 12.2 mile out and back time trial held outside of Fairfield. The conditions were perfect for the test of truth, a quiet breeze, good roads and pleasant temperatures.

The men and women raced the same course. The non-technical course climbed slightly for the first two miles, descended for four before turning around and returning on the same road.

It was Saturn's Eric Wohlberg, setting the blazing standard for the men's time trial with a time 27:44 over Mercury's Adham Sebum, who finished with a 27:51. Third in the men's race was Mercury's Chris Wherry who finished with a 28:05. The Canadian National Time Trial Champion's winning time should have moved him into third place in the General Classification, behind race leader Chris Horner.

In the women's race it was again Saturn finishing first, second and third, although this time around it was Kimberly Bruckner, third yesterday, finishing with top honors. She finished with a time of 30:33, edging out her Saturn teammate Lyne Bessette by six seconds who came across with a time of 30:39. Third was Judith Arndt with a time of 30:43. It is interesting to note that top three finishers in the women's time trial today are their respective country's National Time Trial Champions - Bruckner for the US, Bessette for Canada and Arndt for Germany.
