CBC Cycling Special on Mike Barry

I was recently in California shooting a feature on Canadian cyclist Mike Barry of the USPS team. The story will run on Canada Now tomorrow night (Wednesday April 3rd) between 6-6:30 p.m. local time. Another story on Lyne Bessette and Genevieve Jeanson will probably run next week. I'll keep you up to date.

Cheers,
Mark Connolly

Glen Mountain Park, Quebec Added to the 24 Hours of Adrenalin 2002 Series

Trilife Sports International is pleased to announce that Glen Mountain Park, in Knowlton, Quebec, has been chosen as the Quebec location for the 24 Hours of Adrenalin Presented by Jeep 2002 series on June 1st & 2nd, 2002.

Glen Mountain Park is in the heart of the Eastern Townships and just past the picturesque village of Knowlton, home of Canadian Cyclist Lyne Bessette. The course at Glen Mountain Park offers fantastic mountain bike trails with a great mix of climbing, singletrack, fast downhills and fire roads for passing, geared for all ability levels. The course will challenge the weekend warrior and experienced racer at the same time. "Not a lot of people know about this sport yet," says Steve Merker, Vice President of Operations for Trilife Sports International. "It has a great infrastructure for participants and the trails are excellent, with a nice mix of singletrack, climbing and doubletrack. Being only an hour from Montreal makes the venue very accessible."

24 Hours of Adrenalin is a mountain bike relay event where teams of 4 to 10 people, or solo riders, race to complete as many laps as possible in a 24 hour time frame. Riding categories have been designed to accommodate all skill levels.
