A rainy night in Val D'Or, and an early crash caused the peloton to be very nervous. Dutch and Belgian riders got away on this road race course after the crash, but were caught in the finishing circuit. Sprint finish. Thanks to the CCA's Jacques Landry for this update. Full results to follow.


Tour de Gastown

Kim Davidge (Saturn) took the field sprint to win the women's race in downtown Vancouver. Our eyes on the street, Todd Hansen, says that the crowd is estimated to be 35,000 strong. Davidge had a good leadout from team mate Kristy Scrymgeour to hold off local favourites Marni Prazki and Gina Grain. The men's race is just underway.
