UCI Announces TT/I Teams for 2003
Courtesy UCI

The Professional Cycling Council (PCC) has come to a decision about the TTs which could not be examined in detail in the time laid down by the regulations (December 21/02).

-Team Index (ITA), BigMat.Auber 93 (FRA): the dossiers for these teams did not comply with the UCI regulations on 20.12.2002. They will therefore be taken into consideration for possible registration as TT/II (decision 15.01.2003).

-Team Fakta (DEN), Domina Vacanze-Elitron (ITA): examining the dossiers filed before 20.12.2002 enabled these teams to be registered as TT/I.

-Team Coast (GER): the PCC considered that the 2003 dossier enables them to be registered as TT/I. However, it found that there were disputes in progress between the team and certain competitors due to the non-payment of wages for the 2002 season. The PCC considered the competitors' complaints and the explanations given by the TT management regarding these disputes, the total amount of which is covered by the team's bank guarantee, and it concluded that the outcome of the said disputes could not be forecast at this time. As a result, the TT will be registered as TT/I subject to the following conditions:

- application of any measure of control on administrative team management considered appropriate by the relevant departments of the UCI,
- possible increase in the 2002 bank guarantee if new disputes should be reported to the UCI.

Following the PCC's decisions, the Palmans - Collstrop, Landbouwkrediet - Colnago and CCC - Polsat TT are therefore on the list of 30 TT/I registered for the 2003 season:
