Zanette Follow Up

So far, preliminary results from the autopsy of Italian cyclist Denis Zanette suggest that the 32 year old pro died from natural causes. The Fassa Bortolo rider collapsed at his dentist's office after having his teeth cleaned. The unusual nature of the incident (ie, a young, fit man) has led to speculation that drugs might be involved, however, there is nothing so far to suggest anything other then a tragic premature death. It has also been revealed that both Zanette's father and grandfather died at a relatively young age from cardic problems, suggesting a genetic link.

Sea Otter Extended

It appears certain that the road portion of the Sea Otter Classic is going to be extended by an extra day, after the Redwood City Council unanimously agreed to provide funding for necessary road closures to bring the event to the community. This would mean that the road portion would start on April 9th, rather then the 10th.
