BALFA Cycles Announces a Limited Recall of 2Step Frames

BALFA Cycles has noticed that a small series of 2Step frames present a manufacturing defect at the head tube area, possibly resulting in its failure when combined with a triple clamp fork. The frames are from the final production run of 2001, and first production run of 2002. It is impossible for BALFA Cycles to determine who exactly has bought those frames and that is why we ask every 2Step/triple clamp owner to contact us as soon as possible. Those with such products should stop riding immediately, and until they have spoken to BALFA Cycles' customer service. BALFA Cycles will honour its warranty against manufacturing defects and offer a replacement product, free of charge for those concerned by this recall.

For more information, please contact Stéphane Amyot at 514-274-2654 extension #227 or write to him at steph@balfa.com

Note: NO BICYCLE OR FRAME WILL BE ACCEPTED WITHOUT A RETURN AUTHORIZATION NUMBER.

Those who own 2001 or 2002 2Steps with single crown forks should not be concerned by this message and may ride their bikes without fear.

Our customers safety and satisfaction is a priority at BALFA Cycles and that is why we will do what is necessary to remedy this unfortunate situation.
