Hoydahl Wins Norwegian Rune Hoydahl (Giant), a perrenial favourite on the World Cup circuit won today‚s men‚s race, the 6th in the Grundig series. However, he was the recipient of some luck, when leader Hubert Pallhuber (Diamondback), enroute to his first World Cup win, flatted with less than 2 kilometres to go. Pallhuber had been the strongest all day, dropping all but Hoydahl early in the 4 lap, 38 kilometre race, and then attacking and dropping the Giant rider on the last climb. The lead duo were far enough ahead of the rest of the field that Pallhuber was able to fix his flat and still claim second place - over a minute in front of Miguel Martinez (Sunn-Nike). Results and standings to come. Ontario Cup #4 - Dagmar (thanks to Mike Badyk) Pro Men 1. Crookham, Jason Rocky Mountain 2.05.39 2. Spadaccini, Paul OGC-Fisher/Team Sportable 2:06:23 3.
