Stephen Ferris of the Blizzard Club won the final Challenge Cup race of the 2003 season, in Beatton Park, Sunday. He won the 3-lap mountain bike event with Gilbert Bilodeau in second place and Andrew Kovacs in third. 2003 Club Champ Trevor McDonell was 4th and Richard Howes was 5th.

Twenty-three riders started the race. They did a short circuit mass start around the lot, which soon narrowed down to a single track. Stephen Ferris pulled away on the first long hill with Robert Martens in pursuit. Ferris held his lead as Martens had a mechanical problem and dropped out in the technical section. Gilbert Bilodeau worked his way up to second after briefly leading, as well.

Roger St. Jean was 6th in the 3-lap event with Pat Ferris 7th, Gary Hilderman 8th and Sam Keats in 9th.

Brad Tomlinson of Grande Prairie won the 2 lap event with Adam Currie in second and Ryan Stickel third.

Tessa Bilodeau won the 1 lapper with Ken Nix second and Tyson Carter third. Angela Ripley was 4th, Trisha Gladysz 5th, Adam Bilodeau 6th, Dayna Stickel 7th and Dawn Gladysz 8th.

The Blizzard Club wins the Challenge Cup for the second year by winning three races out of the four in the series.
