OCA AGM

On Saturday (March 6th) the Ontario Cycling Association held their Annual General Meeting in Toronto. The main points of the meeting were elections and by-law changes. The by-laws had to be changed to reflect the replacement of VP Recreation with VP BMX (note: the Recreation portfolio can be resurrected if there is interest). In addition, there was considerable discussion on the need to encourage and support organizers for events such as the provincial hillclimb championships and track championships (and track series). A motion was approved by the membership directimg the Board to investigate this matter.

Elections:

VP BMX - Nicky Pearson (acclaimed)
VP Finance and Administration - Aaron Hershoff (acclaimed)
VP Development - Matthias Schmidt (defeated Rob Good)

Roger Curtis was elected to the High Performance Committee as the Member at Large for Road & Track
