9th Annual W.O.W. ENDURO - Sunday, July 26

The original Enduro is almost here again. This Sunday will see mountain bikers of all ages test themselves over the 60km Enduro Race and 60,30 and 10km tours at Mansfield. Pre-registration is very strong, with many especially looking forward to the new Enduro format (groups of 4 departing at 1 minute intervals). Course conditions are excellent and the mix of new trails and a great river crossing will mean all sorts of fun. One important note - since we have to transport food and water into some very remote locations, we can't take an infinite number of people on the day of the event. We will take another 25 people for the Enduro Race, and another 30 for the tours. First come, first served.

Registration opens at 7am on Sunday. Racers start to depart at 9am. Lunch, bottle and full support included. Don't forget the Clydesdale Championships on Saturday morning at 10am either. For more info visit www.wowmtb.com. See you there! (Ed. Note: This is a great event! If we didn‚t have to cover the World Cup in Conyers and the Canada Cup in Mont Tremblant, we would be there!)

Hobson Injured

We have just received confirmation that National Road team member Leigh Hobson has broken her collarbone (maybe the other countries are putting out contracts on Canadians....). The word is that Leigh‚s injury is not too serious, and that she will be back in action by August. Apparently, she broke it during Fichburg, and still managed to finish 3rd on G.C.
