IMBA Ontario Workshop

The International Mountain Bicycling Association is coming to East Gwillimbury, Ontario, August 26-29, and you're invited to join in the special events.

This visit will feature an IMBA slideshow, IMBA Trailbuilding School, trailwork, a group ride and other fun events. All events are FREE! This is your opportunity to rub shoulders with the IMBA crew while learning all about trailbuilding. Check out all the details below and come join in the
fun.

FRIDAY, AUGUST 27
7:00 - 9:00 p.m. Around the World with the IMBA Slideshow Come mingle with fellow trail users and learn about IMBA's work around the world. IMBA's Lora Woolner and Mark Schmidt will present a fun and exciting slideshow featuring riding and travel adventures in Canada, Mexico, U.S.A., Italy, Wales, Australia and beyond.

SATURDAY, AUGUST 28
8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. IMBA Trail Building School
Get your hands dirty and learn how to build and maintain sustainable and fun single-track. The school includes three hours of classroom instruction, followed by hands-on time in the field learning trail building techniques. Topics include designing a contour trail, controlling water flow, building effective trail structures, and routine maintenance.

The field work will be hands-on trail building, so come prepared. You will probably be most comfortable in long pants and a long sleeve shirt. Wear sturdy shoes and bring work gloves, sunscreen and a hat. If you have access to any trail building tools - Pulaskis, McLeods, rakes, picks, hoes, shovels - PLEASE BRING THEM.

1:00 p.m. - Group Ride - Brown Hill Tract (Ravenshoe)
