Top Riders to Go It Alone

According to a recent editorial by Simon Drouin published in La Presse :

Lyne Bessette will not sign with the Quark team for 2005. Bessette was not happy with the amount of racing expected of her by the team in a post Olympic year and wanted to add some mountain bike and cyclo-cross races to her schedule. Negotiations broke off when her agent was not able to come to an agreement.

There will not be a Rona team this year, but Rona will continue to with its individual sponsorship of Genevieve Jeanson. We are expecting an official announcement soon.

Jeanson has recently been vacationing in Mexico but returned to her US residence in Arizona on the weekend to compete in and win a pair of local races.
