2005 has been another banner year for the Road, Track and Cyclocross sector. The SISU BC Cup continues to shine, offering athletes, teams, sponsors and spectators alike, an opportunity to showcase their wares at the top level of provincial road racing. The Junior Challenge Series continues to show growth, and the inaugural BC Cross Cup has shown itself to be an undisputed success. With the assistance of the Women's Novice Bike Racing (WNBR) Series, a noticeable, and welcome influx of women of all ages and abilities is also evident in our sport.

A key factor to the success and growth of the sport is due to the outstanding events held within BC. From local club events to SISU BC Cup events and SuperWeek. Without volunteers, clubs and organizers, racing simply would not happen. Does your club want to host a Junior, Category 3, 4, 5 event? Or does it aspire to host a large scale, SISU BC Cup or event Provincial Championship event? Now is the time to put pen to paper and submit your 2006 race date!

The 2006 Road, Track and Cyclocross Date Setting Meeting is scheduled for Sunday, November 27th, from 10:00am through to 12;00pm. Organizers are requested to have their completed date bids - together with a sanction deposit - to the office by November 21st. Sanction forms and Bid Applications are available to download on the Cycling BC website, www.cycling.bc.ca.

Note organizers wishing to host a SISU BC Cup and/or BC Championship must be present at the meeting.
