Coaching Internship Position

Cycling BC is considering submitting an application for the 2006 Coaching Internship Program funded by Human Resources and Skills Development Canada (HRSDC) and managed by the Coaching Association of Canada (CAC). (please see www.coach.ca/e/grants/internships.htm)

This coaching position will be funded for a single year with a view to make it permanent going into 2007. All applicants must be 30 years of age or younger as of January 1, 2006.

Cycling BC is requesting that any young coaches interested in partnering with Cycling BC in this application to fax or email their CV to Cycling BC immediately. The deadline for the final application to the government is 9am (PST) December 6, 2005 so we need your CV asap. If applicants do not currently live in BC, they would have to be willing to relocate to BC.

Ed Schum Appointed to Lead '06 Abitibi Project

Returning for yet another year, Ed Schum, long time Abitibi project leader and staunch Junior activist has been appointed to spearhead the 2006 BC Junior Men's Team effort. With a much earlier lead-up, our Junior Men will have more time to train and race as a unified Team then in years past! Interested Junior-aged riders ( Male, 17 & 18) should touch base with Ed Schum at edschum@shaw.ca to learn about upcoming training opportunities and future selection events.
