Canada Cup Final Standings

Here are the final, corrected Canada Cup standings for Cross-Country and Downhill. Please read the notes carefully at the top of each page. We have confirmed these results with the CCA (thanks Lisa!), and they do match. In the Downhill, you will notice 2 winners in Canada Cup #5, since the Makeup race is included. In the Cross-Country, the discrepancy between DNS and DNF has been cleared up for the Nationals results.

Downhill Trails Open at Blue Mountain

Finally some downhill trails with chair lift access. Blue Mountain Resorts in Collingwood has opened with 3 downhill trails. One is more advanced and the other two are for intermediate riders. At present, there is limited access, chair operating 9:30 AM - 11:00 AM, and 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM every day. After Labour Day - open weekends only, with the Chair running 10AM - 5PM

Riders must sign a one-time waiver or daily waiver at The Adventure Mountain Bike School at the foot of Blue Mountain at Central Base Lodge. There is a trail development fee of $4 daily, or $10 for the season. Chair tickets cost $3.50 single; book of 4 for $11 or all day for $17, which includes use of Blue Mountain water and dry slide rides. The ongoing plan is to develop more downhill trails and to open next Spring with 7 downhill trails and one on hill cross-country trail.

Regards,

Swatty Wotherspoon
Director of The Adventure Mountain Bike School
