Chicoutimi, Quebec-based Cycles Devinci is proud to announce its road-racing merger with the 5-hour Energy presented by Kenda Racing Team - the winningest professional Continental squad in North America.

Leading the charge is two-time NRC individual champion Francisco “Paco” Mancebo of Spain. Mancebo captured GC wins at the Cascade Cycling Classic and the Joe Martin Stage Race last year. In addition, he led the Competitive Cyclist roster to top team honors on the National Racing Calendar and was named “Men’s Stage Racer of the Year” by VELO magazine in January 2013.

The stacked 5-Hour Energy Team lineup also boasts nine of America’s best road cyclists, including Nathan English (2011 Mt. Hood Cycling Classic champion), Jim Stemper (5th at 2012 US Pro Road Race Championship), and Shawn Milne (Sprint Jersey winner at the 2012 Joe Martin Stage Race).

“This partnership brings together the best team on the North American circuit with the fastest frame on the market,” says Devinci Marketing Manager David Régnier-Bourque. “Get ready for an amazing ride.”

Cycles Devinci, with 25 years of bike building excellence, will supply the team with its Leo SL and Leo T2 road-racing machines, powered by Dual Core Fusion technology. This advanced engineering marries two frame cores, combining the best elements of speed, stability, and intuitive handling. All frame aspects are fully asymmetrical and feature performance-oriented architecture for enhanced lateral stiffness and vertical compliance.

“These are the best machines out there for the best riders on the Continental circuit,” said Jason Kriel, managing partner of On The Rivet Management, which owns the 5-hour Energy team. “The 5-hour Energy presented by Kenda Racing Team is excited to have Devinci’s support for the 2013 season.”

The professional road racing team will focus on NRC and UCI stage races in North America, beginning with the Redlands Bicycle Classic in California in March and then competing in the biggest races across North America. Stay tuned for more news from the upcoming training camp.
