Lambert announced on Thursday that new investors will replace Roynat Capital as Lambert’s co-owner with Barrett Corp. Ed Barrett remains the CEO of the Lambert/Hawley group, and Steve Hawley remains the co-owner and president of Hawley. There is no change to the management structure.

The new investors are represented on Lambert’s board by Éric D’Anjou and Mathieu Cardinal. Éric is the co-founder of Coalision, where he developed very successful apparel brands, such as Orage, Lolë and Paradox. Coalision was sold in 2008. Éric is now involved with many charity organizations. Mathieu is an entrepreneur, as well as the co-owner and CEO of Refplus, a leading manufacturer of commercial refrigeration and precision air-conditioning products.

“This is great news for Lambert and Hawley, since Éric and Mathieu bring both expertise and enthusiasm to help us continue to grow as a key North American player,” said Ed Barrett, CEO. “Roynat, as a private equity partner, had always planned for an investment horizon of five to seven years. Since they joined us in 2006, it was good timing for them to make this change. I want to thank them for having supported the rapid growth of Lambert/Hawley over the past seven years.”

“We are very excited by this new partnership,” said Éric D’Anjou. “As avid cyclists ourselves, we strongly believe in the growth potential of the bicycle industry. Lambert/Hawley has the perfect strategy to keep growing strong brands through the specialty retailers channel, with its dedicated sales reps supported by great service.”
