Our main tour, The Waterfront Trail Adventure, is part of a greater effort to save and support the 730 km (450 miles) of waterfront along Ontario's southern border, from falling into exclusive private-use-only and developers. Throughout the tour, we emphasize how this non-renewable resource of wetlands and public access can be lost if we are not vigilant in its protection. Our tour takes cyclists through the 41 communities dotted along the route from the New York State border to the border of Quebec. These towns are fascinating; many of them have rich histories in the battles with the US in the early 1800s, but are now facing extinction. All this plus 100km a day and luxury accommodation.
