Opus bicycles is gearing up for another successful mountain bike season with a talented selection of athletes competing on the Canadian national mountain bike circuit for 2013.

The established Montreal-based brand is pleased to announce the following riders returning to the team: 2012 U23 National Champion Andréanne Pichette will return to the squad entering the Senior Elite ranks, competing at several Canadian National and World Cup events; three-time Quebec Cup Masters Champion Alex Frappier, Steven Noble, Mathieu Bélanger-Barrette, Daniel Varga and Frédérique Larose-Gingras will all be back on Opus bikes for the 2013 season.

With their strong success in 2012, Opus Marketing Director Sylvain Bossé is confident the team will continue to build on their strengths for 2013.  “Andréanne Pichette enjoyed tremendous results at both the Canadian and World Cup level in 2012, and we believe she will continue to bring her determination and solid work ethic into the 2013 season as she enters the highly competitive Senior Elite ranks. Meanwhile, Steven Noble, who finished second overall in the Ontario Cup series last year, will be focused on the championship for 2013. All of our riders have been training hard all winter and we are excited to have our family of exceptional mountain bike athletes return for another great season.”

The team will be competing aboard Opus’ race winning and constantly evolving Fhast and Prime series of bikes that have a proven track record on the highly competitive Canadian mountain bike circuit.

Watch for the 2013 Opus mountain bike race team competing at select World Cup, Canada Cup and provincially sanctioned cross-country events across the country, or out on a training ride in a local community near you.
