RWR / Peak Winter Series: Stage 12

Fresh off his Arizona training camp, Derrick St. John was eager to prove that his time down south was well spent. Despite a back and forth battle with teammates Warren MacDonald and Sean Wakefield over most of Stage 12's course, Derrick put the winning margin into the others on the final climb to take his second stage win in the RWR/ Peak Winter series. Derrick, Warren and Sean finished one-two-three with times of 42:29.7,42:51.3 and 43:46.3 respectively.
With some of the top women absent, the stage was wide open for riders to move up in the GC rankings if they scored podium finishes. Capitalizing on this, Cathy Bodnoff pulled of her first win of the series with a time of 51:40.9. Vicki Thomas and Julia Fournier also bettered their GC placing by claiming second and third spots.
