The Blizzards practiced their cyclo-cross skills in the snow, Sunday. Robin Baillie won the event doing 6 laps of the 2.8 km North Peace circuit, with a time of 46:47 minutes. Pat Ferris was second with 5 laps at 48:25 and Kevin Cooper third at 5 laps, 49.18.

Bob Andrews was 4th, Roger St. Jean 5th, Barb Polehoykie 6th and Colter Young 7th, all at 5 laps. Sam Keats and Adam Currie did 4 laps.

The snow and the rain made the trail very slippery, clogging up the bike and freezing the rider but everyone made it to the finish. A good crowd of riders considering the weather conditions.

This is good practice for the National Cyclo-Cross championships coming up in Nanaimo, November 11th on Œsunny‚ Vancouver Island.

Coming up:

-Last Toony Cross Thursday night at 6 sharp, as daylight is running out.
-Sunday Cyclo-cross at 2 pm North Peace.
