The rumours are true: One of Canada's best mountain bike riders will be riding with Symmetrics Cycling in 2007. Geoff Kabush, one of the most recognizable riders on the international mountain bike circuit, will call the S-Team home on the road next season. Kabush, a multiple National champion in Mountain Bike and Cyclo-Cross, placed 9th at the 2000 Olympic Games and won the World Mountain Bike Relay Championships in 2004.

Kabush will ride for the team in select road events that complement his mountain bike schedule with the MAXXIS squad. As part of Kabush's arrival, the team is also proud to announce that MAXXIS will be the official tire for 2007. Geoff Kabush, a Victoria, B.C. native is thrilled to be riding on a Canadian team. "I've watched Symmetrics grow over the past couple years and I have really been impressed," he explained. "The Cunninghams have created an incredible team filled with great riders and, more importantly, great people. I am really excited that I am able to fit in some road racing next year and there is no other team I would rather join up with."

Kabush, a powerhouse rider will be a welcome addition to the team, having raced several top-level road events before. Kabush has ridden the Tour of Georgia, finishing 31st, as well as international races like the Tour of Malaysia (Tour de Langkawi) and the USPRO Championships. His climbing skills will be a definite asset to the team. "I'm definitely hoping to do some of the more difficult races with some hard climbing," Kabush said. "I am looking forward to the challenge of racing on the road again; I really want to help out the squad in whatever capacity I can. I know most of the guys pretty well - Pinner (Andrew Pinfold) was my best man at my wedding."
