We have just started the 3rd and last lap of the women‚s Grundig World Cup in Vail and Paola Pezzo has a slimmer than expected lead of 50 seconds over Ruthie Matthes. In third place is Alison Dunlap, back on the circuit after finishing the HP International Women‚s Challenge. Top Canadian is Lesley Tomlinson in 8th, with Melanie McQuaid in 11th and Chrissy Redden 14th. Conditions are ideal, reports our correspondent, Hank Sydor. He also reported that Alison Sydor, who crashed due to an unmarked portion of the course on Wednesday has seen specialists and is suffering from a Class 2 shoulder separation. This will put her out of competition for an estimated 3 weeks, meaning she will miss the Tour of the Rockies.
