Sad News

Peter McCaffery has just passed on the sad news that Gavin Fletcher, a well-known Junior rider in the 1980's, was killed last night in a car accident.

Gavin Fletcher was 39 years old and the sports editor of the Victoria Times-Colonist. He was the son of Bill Fletcher, a former pro cyclist in the 1960's, as well as a national coach and commissaire. Fletcher is survived by his wife Natalie, 5 month old daughter Sophia and 6 year old daughter Claudia.
