Major League Cycling Team Canada-USA of Keven Lacombe (Amos, Quebec) and Adrian Hegyvary (Bellevue, Washington) were on top tonight in the UIV Talents Cup at the 45th 6-Days of Copenhagen. They won again by gaining the only lap on the field in this evenings Madison race.

David Butterworth, team manager (www.majorleaguecycling.com) reports the pair was very determined to get back on even-laps after Thursday nights disaster; Hegyvary was ill with a fever for two days and just could not stay with the peloton after a failed attempt for a lap. Things blew-up when a split developed in the field and they simply did not have the gas to bridge the gap. In total frustration, the pair sat-up together on an exchange to rejoin the main group on the next lap.

On Friday with Hegyvary mostly recovered, it was Lacombe who launched an attack almost immediately as the race began. It happened so fast that the pair had half-a-lap in only a few seconds. The bunch could not get itself organized to mount a chase and very quickly Lacombe and Hegyvary had the tail-end of the peloton in sight.

Attack after attack then ensued, but nothing succeeded until about 30 laps-to-go when the Danish team of Daniel Kreutzfeldt and Michael Christensen launched a blistering attack that caught everyone off-guard. The Danish pair had half-a-lap and were closing in at an incredible pace until a failed exchange set them back too much to close the gap before the final gun was fired.

A very happy Keven Lacombe pumped his fist in the air to celebrate! Lacombe and Hegyvary were congratulated and each presented with flowers. They were all-smiles as they rode their victory lap to the cheers and applause of the large crowd in attendance.
