June 16th-17th

The Trek Store Canada Cup promises to be bigger and better for 2007! There are many special events and special guest appearances in store for riders and spectators.

The weekend starts with the Ride for the RVH, a charity ride in support of the Simcoe Muskoka Regional Cancer Center, presented by the Barrie Cycling Club. This is a family oriented mountain bike ride with 2km, 5km, or 10km options, with riders collecting pledges towards this great cause. The Ride for the RVH starts at 10:00 am Saturday June 16. Full ride info and pledge forms available at barriecycling.com.

Saturday will also be filled with many athletes pre-riding the Canada Cup course, and a Special Appearance by Gary Fisher, one of mountain bikings' founding fathers! Gary Fisher will be at the Trek Store Toronto Saturday morning and be at Hardwood Hills by 4:00 pm for a pre-ride and autograph session.

The Trek Store Canada Cup races will take place all day Sunday, with the Pro/Elite races going off at 11:30 am. Canada's best pro/elite riders will need to be on top form to challenge the 9 km course, and some of the best riders in the world. Race organizers have confirmed intent to race from Olympians Seamus McGrath and Kiara Bisaro, as well as 3 riders from the Chinese Women's National Team as they prepare for 2008 Olympics.

Gary Fisher will also join in the pack of Sport riders, racing at 9:30 am and then be available for autographs at the Trek Store Toronto tent for the duration of the day.

Hardwood Hills has been host to a Canada Cup National Series event annually since 1996, and has been twice awarded MTB Organizer of the Year by the Canadian Cycling Association. The Canada Cup event is also part of the Plastiglas Ontario Cup series as a Platinum Points race, and hosts categories for any ability and age of riders from beginner to elite, and 10 yrs to 60+ yrs.

The Trek Store and Hardwood Hills welcomes all mountain bike enthusiasts to come ride, race, or just watch the fun! Full event details and registration at www.hardwoodhills.ca
