2009 Specialized-Mazda-Group Samson Team

The women's team Specialized-Mazda-Samson Group has already completed its formation and rider signings for 2009. The core team remains the same as 2008, with some additions for increased depth.

"We can thus plan the schedule with more realism in our cyclists, their development and actual studies," said founding president Gerard Pennaroya.

"We needed to make changes in the team, these choices are not always easy at the individual level, but we must see how the team performed. In addition, if we make the improvement in our athletes, we must do the same for the staff, to create a progression as a whole."

"We must aim for standards of excellence at all levels to be winners. The sport has become a business that must be managed seriously, so the team must be assembled in a collective manner," added consultant Marc-Wayne Addison.

In 2009 the athletes who form the women's team Specialized-Mazda-Samson Group are:
