Only 2 Days Until the Canadian Olympic & Paralympic Cycling Celebration

There are only two days remaining before members of Canada's Olympic and Paralympic cycling teams will be in Quebec City for the Canadian Olympic & Paralympic Cycling Celebration on Saturday, November 29th. The event is brought to you by the Canadian Cycling Association (CCA) and CanadianCyclist.com.

We are pleased to announce that Rocky Mountain Bicycles has signed on as a sponsor of the Celebration, and that Rocky Mountain, Shimano and Specialized are all contributing draw prizes to help raise funds for the Canadian national team development program. Each attendee will receive one draw ticket with their entry, and additional tickets will be available for sale.

Some lucky attendee will have the opportunity to win a signed World Cup leader's jersey from 2008 World Cup champion Marie-Helene Premont, or a 2008 Olympic jersey signed by all attending members of the Olympic/Paralympic squads. Both Shimano and Specialized will be donating fantastic product prizes to the draw.

Members of the cycling community and media will have the opportunity to meet and honour members of Canada's Beijing Olympic & Paralympic cycling team in the relaxed environment of the Boudoir Lounge restaurant (www.boudoirlounge.com) between 8:00 pm and 11:00 pm Saturday evening (November 29th).

Athletes who have confirmed their attendance include bronze medal winning Paralympians Mathilde Hupin Debeurne (Sherbrooke, QC), Genevieve Ouellet (Quebec, QC) and Jean Quevillon (Ste-Adele, QC). Also confirmed is mountain bike professional Marie-Helene Premont (Chateau Richer, QC), who won the 2008 World Cup title, and professional road and track rider Martin Gilbert (Chateauguay, QC). A full list of confirmed attendees is listed below.

A $20 cover charge (includes one drink) will help raise funds for Canada's national team development program. Entry will be limited to 200 people, with 100 spots available through pre-registration. The remaining spots will be allocated at the door on a first come-first served basis, with a limit of 200 participants in total. To pre-register, please contact rjones@canadiancyclist.com.

This is your opportunity to meet some of Canada's top cyclists, and celebrate their success.
