Blizzard Bike Club, April 26th, Fort St. John BC

Colter Young won stage 6 of the Spring Stage Race, Tuesday night, with a time of 1:00:51 for the 35 km Montney road circuit. Pat Ferris won the sprint for second from Kevin Shaw, Les Elliott and Jake Elliott at 1:03:38. Seventeen riders came out to race on a warm and windless evening.

Colter Young and Kevin Shaw are deadlocked in first overall with 20 points each. Pat Ferris is second at 15, George Gamble third with 13 points and Les Elliott fourth with 10. Barb Polehoykie leads the women’s at 15 points. Renee Kalkman has 9 points and Kelsey Young 8 in the Under 19 category.

Other Tuesday times are:  Sixth was George Gamble from Irvin Tang and Richard Wood at 1:04:00, Barb Polehoykie 1:06:36, Dan Webster 1:06:39, David Ferris 1:07:35, Richard Moody 1:08:55, Ken Nix 1:09:03, Owen Giebelhaus 1:10:11, Davide Loro 1:15:15, Rachel Kalkman 1:29:50 and Renee Kalkman 1:34:00.

For the Men’s and the Under 19 categories, it looks like it will all come down to Thursday’s final stage 7 Baldonnel time trial. Race time is 6:30 pm.
