We were down for about 3 hours this afternoon (maybe it is the ŒGary Fisher‚ effect - after our talk this morning...), but we are back up now. This is Day 2 of the Canadian bicycle industry trade show. We don‚t have a lot of new products to tell you about - most of this stuff we covered last week at the Los Angeles Interbike show. We can tell you that for 1998 prices will be pretty stable, and that supply will be good - so the stuff you hear about will actually be available.  We brought an industry neophyte to the show - Kevin Willey (who produces the Club Mud website for Ontario mountain bikers). Kevin will be providing us with a ŒBike Show Virgin‚ report, which should make interesting reading...  Our Gary Fisher chatroom was an interesting time (check out the session by clicking on the logo at the top of our main page), and Gary admitted that, even though he sponsors Paola Pezzo, he thinks Canada‚s Alison Sydor is Œjust the greatest; a super lady‚. Heading into the final event, the keirin, Team EDS trailed by three points, but Marty Nothstein, Trexlertown, Pa.; and Trey Gannon, Plano, Texas, finished second and third behind Marcelo Arrue (Mrs. T‚s-Lexus), Alburtis, Pa., to give Team EDS the overall title by 33 points.  „We‚re very happy,‰ Gannon said. „In February, we were 140 points behind, but we kept chipping away.‰  Team EDS‚ lone victory on the final night came in the women‚s individual pursuit as Rebecca Twigg, Colorado Springs, Colo., finished ahead of teammate Jen Evans, Austin, Texas. Evans, who crashed in the women‚s points race; did not start the final.  Cox Atlanta Velo‚s Nicole Reinhart, Macungie, Pa., earned the victory in the women‚s match sprint on her hometown track. The national sprint champion beat Missy Thompson (PowerBar), Colorado Springs, Colo., in the final.  Other final night victories went to Shaklee‚s Jame Carney, Durango, Colo., and Derek Bouchard-Hall, Menlo Park, Calif., who won the Madison, and the Mrs. T‚s-Lexus Olympic sprint squad of Arrue, John Bairos, Redlands, Calif.; and Sky Christopherson, Tucson, Ariz., who edged Team EDS in that final. Christopherson overtook Gannon in the final meters for that victory.  The EDS Track Cup Œ97 is a national series aimed at enhancing track racing in the United States.
