The Robert Cameron Law Cycling Series (RCLCS), to be held June 1-3, is Victoria's #1 Road Cycling Racing Event, featuring some of Canada's top cyclists and consisting of events representing road cycling's three main disciplines - Time Trial, Criterium, and Road Race.

Specialized / Russ Hay's Time Trial - June 1st at 6 pm.  Start and finish at Clover Point

The Specialized / Russ Hay's Time Trial is a five kilometre race along Victoria's scenic oceanfront on Dallas Road.  Riders race against the clock at breakneck speeds of up to 60 km/hr along Victoria's scenic oceanfront.  Participants range from novice to elite, with a para-cycling category and, new for 2012, a special category for those wanting to try a time trial for the first time.

Accent Inns BC Road Cycling Championships - June 2nd, starting at 7 am and running to about 1 pm at Liberty Road in Metchosin

The Metchosin Road Race is a grueling road race, complete with steep hills, fast descents and technical corners that will challenge even the strongest riders. As this event has been selected as the provincial championship, the woman and man winning the elite race will be crowned the “BC Road Cycling Champion".  Categories and distances range from Junior Women (40 kilometres) to Elite (120 kilometres).

20th Annual The Condo Group Bastion Square Grand Prix - June 3rd, starting at 8:30 am with the last race, the elite men, starting at 1 pm

The 2012 race celebrates 20 years of cycling history and Bastion Square Grand Prix's tradition as a milestone event on BC's cycling race calendar. This European-style event features racing reaching speeds of 65 kph on a short, fully enclosed 900 metre loop through Victoria's Olde Town before thousands of spectators lining the route.  There are numerous categories, with elite women starting at noon and elite men starting at 1 pm.

The Tim Horton's Timbits Kids Challenge (kids ages 5 to 10 years old riding with Olympic champions) starts at 11 am - kids ride free, but must register via www.victoria-cycling.com, as field is limited to 150.  One of the first Tim Hortons Timbit Challengers was Olympic medallist swimmer Ryan Cochrane.

To celebrate Ryder Hesjedal's historic Giro D'Italia, fans, racers and Tim Horton Timbit Challengers are encouraged to wear (or bring) pink at The Condo Group Bastion Square Grand Prix on Sunday.

“All of Victoria - and indeed, Canada - are excited about Ryder's historic Giro,” says Race Director Jon Watkin. “We all want to pay tribute and show him how proud we all are of him, here at Bastion, where it all started for Ryder and many of Canada's top racers.”

Race organizers will be decorating the course and the kids' bikes in pink and, immediately following the men's elite finish (approx 2 pm), there will be a Victory Lap (including the day's racers, led by the elite women and men winners) around the Square to pay tribute to Victoria's most famous rider. This tribute will be filmed, posted and sent to Ryder. Riders and spectators are encouraged to show their “pink” colours during this lap.
