Organizers of the 2013 Tour of the Battenkill have announced their intention to withdraw their bid to sanction the men’s professional event with the UCI, due to concerns over the their handling of recent doping scandals.  The event will continue as a top tier National Racing Calendar event, in conjunction with its popular amateur event which drew nearly 3,000 racers from more than 40 states and 20 countries in 2012.  The ninth annual race is scheduled for April 13-14 in Cambridge, New York, USA.
